|Job Description:|| System Modeling & Tools for complex processor based SoC's. As a core member of the software R&D team in San Jose, CA. You will focus on developing software tools for system modeling and performance analysis of processor based SoC designs that are extending into CNN Applications for Neural Net Processor.|
Be the engineering expert our software tools such as the Instruction Set Simulator (ISS), SystemC modeling environment and various third party modeling tools. Create system simulation models for the purpose of verification, performance analysis and software development. Work closely with compiler team as our software platform is highly automated and integrates as it integrates up and down the tool chain. Write documentation, examples, and create and maintain a Knowledge Base on issues surrounding the modeling tools and their usage.
Design and implementation of software tool chain, in particular the instruction set simulator (ISS) for our processors
Development of software models for micro-architectural processor features in the cycle-accurate simulator
Enhancements and maintenance of the fast functional instruction set simulator
Verification of software models in hardware-software co-simulation environment
Integration of the instruction set simulator with 3rd party system modeling environments.
MS or PhD in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering
3+ years of experience in research or development of software for system modeling, processor simulation, or computer architecture exploration. Outstanding candidates with PhD and no industrial work experience will be considered.
Strong C/C++ development skills
Expert working knowledge of SystemC
Experience with GNU development tools and/or Microsoft Visual Studio environment
Experience with modeling tools for performance analysis or Hardware/Software Co-simulation
Knowledge of computer systems architecture and embedded systems programming
