| Job Description: | Platform Sr/Principal Engineer: Linux and Platforms Senior Engineer BS with 8-10 years related experience, MS with 6+. Expert in the design and implementation of core Linux or Windows kernel subsystems and drivers. Will design and implement core infrastructure for next-generation cloud computing based on a framework of virtualization. One will own the Linux platform; the other will be responsible for paravirtualizing operating systems. Must have experience with Linux kernel internal internals and kernel development. Ideal candidates have experience with the Linux or x86 platform boot process, as well as a broad range of knowledge of Linux distribution and system operations, including initialization and system management. Will consult to other team members as a valued expert resource for Linux internals as appropriate. Must exhibit strong abilities in technical leadership and self-directed architectural innovation. Must be able to lead cross-functional efforts and work with key customers to create technical solutions for their needs |
