Job Description:  As a Compiler test engineer, you will join a team that will perform verification and validation and assure quality of Compilers and tool chain hosted on Linux, Solaris or Windows environment for VxWorks and associated applications. You will directly own the results from the verification and validation testing cycle and ensure the high expectations of our customers are met. You must have experience in project execution from start to completion contributing to complex aspects of the project. You should be able to resolve issues in creative ways while exercising judgment in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions.

Responsibilities:
1. Creating and writing guidelines for testing new products
2. Writing programs and scripts as necessary to test Compiler using command line
3. Executing tests using diagnostic software, simulators and hardware
4. Be a proponent of automation to enhance test automation capability through scripting and other software tools
5. Find, isolate and document issues with tools
6. Collaborating cross-functionally to drive quality and communicating results
7. Be a vocal proponent and owner for quality in the compiler development process
8. Work with compiler development engineers to understand overall technical architecture and how each feature is best validated

Minimum Qualification:
1. BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
2. 4+ years of Compiler testing and QA experience
3. Hands on Experience with Compilers and Command Line Testing
4. Hands on working experience in scripting languages such as Bash, Arc, Shell, Said
5. Familiarity with compiler optimizations, code generation and overall design of compilers
6. Experience with program analysis, synthesis and verification, constraint satisfaction, and pipeline optimizations
7. Working Experience in developing test guidelines from specifications and requirements
8. Hands on knowledge and experience in working on Linux environment
9. Knowledge on Low level assembly in any one of the architecture - x86, ARM, RISC etc is desired
10. Experience with communication across multiple teams
11. Ability to debug and problem solve in unfamiliar code bases and environments
12. Knowledge of the Quality Assurance process
13. Knowledge on Configuration Management, preferably Clearcase
14. Strong C, C++ programming experience
